Sometimes I like to be in the kitchen and sometimes I don't. I woke up one day and decided I was going to make a Kale salad. It photographed well but it tasted even better. So at the prompting of a friend I'm posting what I did here. Hope you like it!
1/2 bag - Glory Foods Kale Greens (approx 1/2 bag) - re- rinsed because I couldn't get it out of my head that a friend once told me Kale could be gritty if not washed properly. I pulled the stems off cuz nobody wants to chew on that. Oh, and it doesn't look this vibrant out of the bag.
1 box - Barilla Mostaccioli - cooked and rinsed
1/2 Bottle (approx 8oz) Kraft Tuscan House Italian Dressing
1-2 oz Fresh Gourmet Cranberries Dried & Sweet For Salads
Dry Roasted Sunflower Kernals (as suits you)
*power it up with cooked chicken breast pieces or a full grilled chicken breast.
Toss kale and pasta, slowly pour in dressing, cranberries and sunflower seeds to taste. Serve cold. IMHO beautiful and hearty. If you're not a kale eater you need to know it's peppery.
